Devastation from Tornadoes and Cold Front Bring Hardships to Children

Mercy Chefs has deployed to the hard hit cities of Rowlett and Garland to provide thousands of meals. Mercy Chefs founder Gary Leblanc said: “Pulling into the disaster zone gave me a sickening feeling in my stomach. The sound of helicopters filled my ears. Debris was scattered everywhere. Mangled vehicles are strewn about everywhere I look. People are standing in front of their homes…still in shock from loosing all they had – and on the day after Christmas. It just never gets easier to see this kind of devastation.”

Mercy Chefs is on site feeding thousands of victims, volunteers and relief workers. Those wishing to help with this effort can donate to Mercy Chefs at by clicking here.

Local Shelters

FEED 3 has been recognized for its work fighting hunger across Texas by national, state, and local leaders. Most recently, FEED 3 has been working with state officials on how to move families dependent on welfare into self-sustainable solutions.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings speaking of FEED 3, said “This is what makes our city special. Our city is known for grabbing an issue and addressing it in a big and successful way. Randy Skinner (FEED 3 founder) has done that around hunger. It’s marvelous to see his work and to see how God works through him as well”.
